We all know that soft drinks, fruit drinks, flavored yogurts, cereals, cookies, cakes, candy, chips, snacks, and most processed foods all contain sugar. But did you know that added sugar is also present in rice, noodles, soups, bread, cured meats, alcohol drinks, sauces like barbeque, curry, chilli, tartar, mayonnaise and ketchup? Not to forget, sugar also naturally occurs in all foods that contain carbohydrates, such as fruits and vegetables, grains, and dairy. Excessive consumption of refined sugar leads to the onset of obesity, diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular disease, stroke, higher blood pressure, inflammation, weight gain, and tooth decay. Over time, this can lead to a greater accumulation of fat, which may turn into fatty liver disease.
Honey, however, can lead to a substantial positive impact on our health. The pollen present in all honey is paramount to fighting allergies, toxins, and skin issues. Oddly enough, it also encourages the production of insulin in our blood which reduces blood sugar. Digestive enzymes are also present in honey. This helps to break down complex carbohydrates from foods such as noodles, rice, grains, and potatoes into simple compounds; proteins into amino acids; and sucrose & maltose into glucose & fructose.

Also known as Rose Apple, Water Apple or Wax Apple, these Tropical Jambu trees live in a warm, humid and moist area such as the tropical forest. Its flowers are tube-like and form a fluffy bush approximately 7cm wide. They are located as high up as 11 meters and its color ranges from pale cream to pinkish. Natives used its leaves and tree bark as a form of medication whenever mouth problems arise. Honey made by bees using its nectar have inherited its sweetness, and just like Jambu the fruit, the taste of sweetness doesn't linger. Its honey might give us an interesting false numbing sensation on our tongue after it dissolves.
Our Tropical Jambu Flower Honey is tailored for consumers who appreciate natural sweetness in their drinks, over regular sugar or sweeteners.
